How It Works

There are 7200 nerve ending in the feet. These nerve endings act as reflex points or buttons if you will, that correlate with different systems (i.e. digestive, respiratory, circulatory, endocrine, renal, nervous system, lymphatic, reproductive or auto immune system) zones and parts of the body.

The practitioner will stimulate reflex points, breaking up congestion, increasing circulation, relieving stress, and working through any sore spots.

This opens up the zones and meridians, allowing vital life force energy to flow unobstructed through the body as a whole. The practitioner will then move to the head of the table and begin the Reiki portion of the session.

The Reiki Practitioner places his hands in specific hand placements to treat the client by restoring and balancing energy in all parts of the body. This session can be compared to acupuncture without the needles.

Craig_Feet_in_Grass_BW (1)The 12 basic hand positions correspond to the Chakra system which also corresponds to the endocrine system as well as the major organs of the body. Reiki allows the body to more readily heal itself, improving physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being.

The client may feel heat, cold or vibration. He or she may see colors or experience a soft, warm, glowing sensation and many times, will fall fast asleep during a Reiki session.

Reiki (universal life force energy) flows through the Reiki Practitioner not from the practitioner and is present in all living things.
